New in Caria: Price calculation for BVOD booking process
A streamlined workflow for booking ads in the UK and Ireland

02 April 2025
Caria, Peach’s gold-standard campaign management product, funded by Clearcast, has partnered with Sky Media and Channel 4 to improve the booking process for BVOD campaigns by introducing automated price calculation.
Channel 4 and Sky Media offer an extensive inventory of BVOD advertising opportunities, enabling their clients to run both broad, mass-market campaigns and highly targeted campaigns focusing on very specific consumer groups, and everything in between.
Providing such flexibility comes with some complexity - the range of advertising opportunities carry different prices, which will also be negotiated between agencies and the media owners.
Working closely with the sales and operations teams at Sky Media and Channel 4, Caria now provides a solution. The platform collects and stores data from the media owners to enable Caria to calculate the relevant prices as the agency creates their BVOD bookings.
This removes manual steps in the process, ensures accuracy and reduces time spent managing the booking process. Sky and Channel 4 are rolling this out with Caria and there are more improvements to follow.
Sam Bardwell, Head of Media Systems at Sky Media said “Sky is excited to rollout this new development to our clients, saving them time and effort as well as underlining our commitment for Caria to be the preferred route for Spot and BVOD bookings.”
This is a view shared by Barry John, Head of Sales Operations at Channel 4 who added "Through automated price calculations and removing manual steps, we're making it easier than ever for agencies to work with us. We look forward to supporting a wider rollout and seeing the positive impact this has on our clients."
Caria is commissioned for the UK market by Clearcast, the clearance and advertising services organisation, owned by Sky, ITV and Channel 4. Stephen Hewett, Commercial Director at Clearcast, said “We’re delighted to see our investment in Caria is delivering the services both our shareholders and the market need”.
This feature follows the introduction of copy instructions for both Cinema and for Streamers with more exciting updates to follow throughout 2025.
